Beautiful day

Summer mornings are absolutely amazing. I love waking up early in the morning and have my tea on the terrace. It's so quiet and peaceful, best part of the day..

Talking of peaceful, here are some photos of a very talented Norwegian photographer Joakim Kræmer:

Have a lovely day!

Kal Gajoum

I don't really know how to express my feelings when I look at Kal Gajoum's work.. I can look at each of his paintings for a very long time and find something new in them every time. They have such a great energy and rhythm, you feel the movement in every stroke. I'd really like to owe one. One day..

Paradise in Alentejo. Herdade de Malhadinha

I love Algarve, I do, but when summer comes it's just too hot and you don't feel like doing anything except spend your days on the beach and preferably in cold water.. these are the days I want to escape somewhere I can just read a book and work a little quietly, then do a bit of wine testing in the evening and have a nice dinner. Wake up in the morning and do some yoga or go for a horse ride. All this is actually possible at Herdade de Malhadinha. Not only this hotel in just a beutiful place to stay, but you can actually get to experience things you love/interested in while you're there. Their theme weeks (you can see the calendar here) include wine testing, photography, painting and cooking classes, yoga, horse and air baloon  rides, canoeing, helicopter and small aircraft flights, dance and music and different county experiences - Italy, Brasil, Marroco..  You won't be bored for sure!
I also really like what they have done with the interior. An old farn house transformed into a very cosy yet sophisticated hotel. Combination of old and new works perfectly. It feels inviting and homey.

You can find more information about the hotel and the winery on their website http://www.malhadinhanova.pt/

Have a lovely day!
